Meteoric nu-core masters Caine may have begun life as a bedroom project a few months earlier, but when vocalist James Sanger-Brown and bassist Josh Bates joined in the summer of 2019, it quickly turned into an earnest undertaking. For a band just shy of celebrating the second anniversary of their debut single, Caine have certainly hit the ground running. After securing their debut festival slot at Breaking Bands Festival and support slots with emerging rock bands like Graces Collide, the band hit the studio hard and released a steady stream of infectious singles every 2-3 months from November 2019’s debut Get Up 42, right up to their second Grammy considered recording, the exceptional Gaslight! Gaslight! Continuing to work right through lockdown, the close-knit band’s eighth single release is just around the corner.
To date, two of Caine’s singles have been Grammy considered; 2020’s Another Light was under consideration for no less than five awards including Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Song, and the band’s work is being considered for the second year in succession, as seventh single Gaslight! Gaslight! has caught the eye of the Recording Academy in the Best Rock Performance and Producer of the Year categories in the esteemed awards.
2022 will see Caine get themselves and their dynamic music in front of new audiences as the band play shows in places they’ve always wanted to light up. Look out for dates on the band’s website and social media.
